Gotland regiment was established on January 1, 2018 and will grow with both staff and capacity during the upcoming years.

Several important efforts have been made to strengthen the military and civil defense on Gotland since 2016 and on January 1, 2018, the first parts of Gotland's regiment were established. It is the first regiment that is being built in this way in Sweden in modern times.
