SWEDINT at the 19th annual IAPTC conference.

SWEDINT is currently represented by a delegation led by the Commandant Col Lena Persson Herlitz at the the 19th annual IAPTC conference. The conference is held 28 -31 October, in Bangladesh and hosted by the Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation Training (BIPSOT).

The theme of the October 2013 conference is ‘Coping with Change: Leveraging Regional Education and Training Capabilities for Effective Multidimensional Peace Operations’.

IATPC is an opportunity for attendees to hear presentations from experienced individuals who hold leadership positions, share ideas with colleagues in the structure of functional, multifunctional and regional groups, learn about the latest education and training innovations and members’ programs at the Ideas Bazaar, and meet informally on the margins with fellow trainers from around the world to compare notes and approaches to common challenges.

The delegation from SWEDINT wil stay the whole week and Col Persson Herlitz will give a brief on Tuesday covering the European view on Peacekeeping training.
