Personnel from the medical service company erect a field hospital in Eksjö. The company is subordinate to the Armed Forces Centre for Defence Medicine and is divided in one medical care platoon and one surgeon platoon.

In Eksjö in southern Sweden, soldiers from the Armed Forces Centre for Defence Medicine have erected a field hospital together with the rescue service and the police and conducted a total defence exercise in Jönköping. In the exercise scenario, a mine exploded at Jönköping airport injuring many people.
The Nyland brigade has also arrived from Finland to Berga, south of Stockholm. The brigade brought two combat boats for continued joint exercise with Swedish marines.
Rangers from K 3 in Karlsborg have solved various reconnaissance tasks by exercising parachute dropping over the water.
The National Home Guard participates in Aurora 23 with approximately 9 000 soldiers and has initially exercised mine dropping over Ystad harbour.
“The exercise started a few days ago and additional units have acceded. I have monitored several important exercise features in Boden, Gothenburg, Skövde and Jönköping. I’m impressed by the extremely strong commitment and will to exercise together with international units and civilian players. By doing this, we enhance our operational and total defence capabilities”, says Stefan Andersson, exercise director for Aurora 23.
