METHOD AND OBJECTIVES
Under the guidance of a lead instructor and supported by selected instructors and subject matter experts, this demanding and dynamic ten-day course simulates a tactical-level planning group moving through the NATO Tactical Planning Process for Land Forces. The curriculum is comprised of multiple short lectures, followed by practical exercises and back-briefs in syndicates (40% - 60%). The course includes formal briefs to a senior mentor who performs the role of a tactical commander.
The primary target audience consists of military staff officers (OF 2-5) or civilian equivalents who have been/will be appointed to positions where they will be involved in planning in tactical level HQs.
The course will be conducted in English; a language proficiency of 3333 is required. The maximum number of participants for this iteration is 36. To apply, participants must complete and submit the SWEDINT CV and Application form; an early application is highly recommended.
In October 2021 the first iteration of the course was delivered at SWEDINT. Please follow THIS LINK to see a short video interview with the Course Director, Major Peter Almström.
